Kaspersky leaves the US
Russian antivirus software maker Kaspersky Labs has announced it is moving all operations out of the United States. According to company sources, it will be effective from July 20. News Reuters.
According to the news, a month ago, the Biden administration announced to stop the company's software sales and services in the United States. Russia's influence over the company and threats to US security are cited as reasons for this.
Kaspersky Lab has not sold any new software in the US since the announcement. Even on the website, it is reported that no new customer orders have been accepted.
On the other hand, in June, Kaspersky's chief business development officer, chief operating officer, legal officer and corporate communications chief were banned.
According to the announcement, Kaspersky software sales, downloads, updates will be suspended from September 29 due to the new restrictions.
